My Favorite Books of 2018

EDIT 12/30/2018 I need to add Last Time I Lied to the list. I just finished it and it was incredible.

First of all, I want to apologize for my lack of activity these past few weeks… I’m still deciding what I want to do with the blog. And I don’t know if you were even expecting this post given how inactive I’ve been, but this is actually one of my favorite posts of the year and I obviously couldn’t miss it. Ooo nice list… two of them are on my fav list too this year and a few others (Don’t Believe It) are on my wishlist so it’s wonderful to know it made your top 10! I’ve been hesitating to add Fifth to Die but there were too many unanswered questions so it’s possible – let’s hope – the third novel will be on my list next year. I think we all suffer from some blogger fatigue lately, take your time!

I’m so happy you did a best of list! Dream Daughter will make mine as well and Evelyn Hugo was on mine last year. I’ve got almost ALL of your others on my tbr! I just got Resin in mail which I ordered after your review so I’m extra happy to see it made your list. I know you’ll figure out what makes you happy in terms of blogging or not in 2019

Great list! I hang my head in shame and admit that I have only read one of these – The Dream Daughter. BUT I have several of these on my TBR that I cannot wait to get to.
I hope we get to see more of you in 2019, I’ve missed ya 😊

Great list, Annie. I’ve only read a few of your favorites, but am happy to see The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and The Heart’s Invisible Furies mentioned. For some reason The Dream Daughter just didn’t do it for me, but I’m glad you loved it.

Thanks for sharing your list of favourites, Annie. I have only read Fifth to Die from your list but a few of the other titles are on my TBR. I hope 2019 will be a better blogging year for you x.

You have 5 of my favorites on your list: The Dream Daughter, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (although I read that in 2017), The Fifth to Die, and The Craftsman. I haven’t read the others on your favorites list and surprisingly on your Honorable Mention List, I didn’t love Pieces of Her enough to add it to my list this year!! I’m so sad about that…we’ll see though, I’m still making my lists, lol. I’m doing separate lists divided by genre, so it might make the cut. Loved your picks, Annie! xoxo β™₯

SO happy about those 5! Oh and I did love PoH, it made me think a lot and it felt like a movie, but her previous standalone was even better so I get it! So excited to read your tops ^^

They are such a fabulous 5! I’m going to have to add the others to my TBR and see why you loved them 😊 The Lion Tamer is on my Christmas list and I’m going to read Hearts in 2019! I said I would this year, planned to this month, but now am using it to fit a prompt for the 2019 Popsugar Challenge! Lol. PoH was good, just so different and definitely not like TGD. That’s still one of my favorites ever. Ha, I better get writing my lists and about 5 book reviews that I need to write but don’t feel like it πŸ˜‚! I still have a closet full of gifts to wrap by Monday night and tons of food to cook. My list might be finished after Christmas, which is okay since I’m still reading a book every day or 2! β€πŸŽ…πŸ’šπŸŽ„

I think you will love Lion and Hearts!! I agree, TGD had amazing characters and I was so hooked, but there’s something about her writing that always keeps me engaged. You don’t need to write them if you don’t feel like doing it!!

          Have a wonderful Christmas ❀

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Annie! Thank you, I did. We were in the Bahamas for a few days for the holidays-a present from Santa, so sorry for the late answer! I got Lion for Christmas! Yay! I’m sure that I will love both! Definitely KS writing keeps you hooked; she’s still my favorite author. πŸ™‚ I can’t wait for her next Will Trent book!!

Thankfully, they are reviews for books that don’t publish until Jan 22nd on, so I have time! I’ve been reading my ARCS ahead but that just means I have to catch up on writing the reviews since I’m too lazy to write them as I read them, lol. Reading them is so much more fun! Have you read Donna Everhart’s new book The Forgiving Kind? It arrived on my doorstep right before we left on vacation, and I read it on the beach! It was so good! It’s on my favorite books of 2018 list which will definitely post tomorrow, lol. I’m so glad that you introduced me to her as an author! She’s so good and lives about 45 min away from my house!! I love that! πŸ™‚ β™₯ Happy New Year, Annie! ❀

That’s what I wanted to ask you about and totally forgot! I saw that you read it and loved it!!! So excited to read it. Netgalley says pub date is Jan 29 so I think I’ll wait until then. She’s a wonderful writer!! How awesome that you live so close! This April I’m visiting SC, but I don’t think we’ll ave time to go to NC 😦 It’ll be my first time in the US south!!

Thank you! I hope your New Year is fantastic! 😘 It was a much needed, relaxing, amazing vacation. Sometimes you just have to get away from “life”…

It’s so good! I couldn’t wait until the 29th to read it, especially since it fit perfectly in my carry on bag for the plane! πŸ˜… She’s going to be at a local bookstore in February and I’m going to try to go if someone is home to watch my daughter. I’d love to meet her!

Where in SC will you be? I would guess that I’m 2-3 hrs from the SC border. Really? I don’t know why I thought you’d been in the south before. Maybe because you like books set here, lol. That’s a silly reason but I just thought you had Haha. Well….the majority of us are super nice. And most of the south is beautiful. Hopefully you’re going somewhere fantastic in SC! Charleston SC is my favorite place in the south, so I always tell people to go there if they are in SC. You should have a great trip! ❀

Yay! It’s so southern and so fantastic! It has such great charm and history. And such wonderful southern restaurants!! I’ll be there in March over spring break, so that timing is too bad! 😦 I’ve never been to California even though my hubby was born in San Diego and his family still lives there, which is crazy, lol. I love NY too. My 8 year old wants to move there and star in Wicked, haha! That’s not long at all!! ❀

Are you thinking about not blogging any more?!?!? Please say no.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo of course made my 2018 best book list as well. I am super excited to read her next book, but nervous since it has very mixed reviews already…

I need to look into The Psychology of Time Travel because oh man that cover is stunning!

Really happy to see The Clockmaker’s Daughter on the list too. It also has mixed reviews 😦
