April 2018 Wrap-Up & Favorites

April is coming to an end… A great month because it was Saint George’s here and I was able to buy more books than usual! However, I’m feeling worried because I think I’m becoming more of a slow reader. Last year I used to read about 12 books every month! What is happening to me?

☼ Books I Read ☼

Stasi Child – David Young

All The Beautiful Lies – Peter Swanson

Tangerine – Christine Mangan

In The Cage Where Your Saviours Hide – Malcolm Mackay

Birthday Girl – Matthew Iden

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society – Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows

Every Single Secret – Emily Carpenter (Soon)

Again, a good month overall. My favorites were the following three. I really enjoyed them, although none of them will make my favorites list this year.

  1. I wouldn’t worry about reading totals being down. Life and our moods change. Sometimes I go through stretches where I’ve got a lot going on and reading suffers, or I’m just not in a mood to push it. You’re still reading and that’s what counts!

    1. It’s just that I’ve been focusing on other stuff I guess, and my boyfriend’s work hours have changed so now I’m not spending so many hours by myself haha 🙂 But I liked reading so much!

  2. I’m so jealous you get to read The Craftsman (hopefully) already! I’m really looking forward to that one! I’m also looking forward to what you think of What You Want to See. I really liked that one.

  3. I’m curious to see what you thought about Every Single Secret . I have it as well but have not read it yet. But saw some nice reviews floating around already.

      1. Not yet! And to make matters worse, i ended up buying like 10 new books yesterday cuz they were on sale for £1. I literally never learn… 😀 Now i’m overwhelmed.
