It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Last Week…

I had a busy weekend so I could only finish The Roanoke Girls last week. It was quite a disturbing read… but I loved it! It won’t be for everyone, though.

Right Now…

I started this last Thursday but I haven’t had time to read more. It’s great so far! And I’m from Catalonia, so I can’t stop smiling (even though it’s a thriller!)

Next…

Have you read any of these?

In a past life, I was probably a tortured police detective with a dark and traumatic past. Right now, however, I'm just a twenty-something bookworm who loves listening to old songs and watching 90s movies. I enjoy mystery and crime, southern coming of age stories and historical fiction set in the last century.

  1. I have Her Every Fear and I’ve got Never Let You Go on my list to read later this week hopefully. Can’t wait to chat about both with you!

  2. I never realised that you were Spanish! Not read the Roanoke Girls. Really not sure it’s for me. I’m reading Quieter than Killing by Sarah Hilary at the moment

  5. Ooh, I’m intrigued by City of Good Death now – I don’t think I’ve ever read a book set in Catalonia! And I didn’t know you were Spanish!! Paella! (It’s the only Spanish I know so I thought I’d just throw it in there… πŸ˜‰ )

  7. I just finished The Roanoke Girls Sunday night! Disturbing is right. Made my skin crawl, but I also found it to be a compelling read- I don’t feel right about using the words enjoy and like in this context.

  8. Well it’s NOT Monday any longer, but I’m reading Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. I am not really sure where this book is going since it seems as if the author is making it obvious, but it can’t be that simple…. I am waiting for some type of twist…

I am looking forward to receiving my copy of The Roanoke Girls!!!
