In a past life I was probably a tortured police detective with a dark and traumatic past. Right now, however, I'm just a twenty-something bookworm who loves to listen to old songs and watch American movies from the nineties. I enjoy reading mystery and crime, southern coming of age stories and historical fiction set in the last century.

      1. Aww Annie, that is so kind, I checked it out and it’s only in hardback here at over £20! So providing it’s not too costly to send I’d like that 😊 I don’t get too many physical copies mine are mostly ebooks, but when I do and you fancy reading it just shout and I’ll return the favour. I rarely read anything twice so I’m happy to pass it on. Muchas gracias, eres muy enable xx

  2. I feel like I added a lot of the books you reviewed last month to my TBR after I read your reviews 😂🙈. You and one other blogger I know of are building my mystery/thriller TBR and I need to get around to some of them haha. You definitely had a great reading month and I wish I was able to get through that many in a month. Also, great haul and TBR! Hope you have as good a reading month in October as you had in September. ♥

  3. Great list with some really good books. I can already see my TBR growing. I’m too scared to do a monthly wrap up as I’d probably need to admit how many books I’ve acquired 🙂

  4. You’ve had a great month – always good to see lots of four and five stars! But it does make me laugh the way we all acquire far more books than we read… 😉 Of your October TBR, I’ve only read the Michael Robotham, a writer I always thoroughly enjoy. Have you read any of his other books?

    1. Always… we’re weak! I can’t help it 😄 You see, that’s one I got by surprise, I didn’t even request it and I know it’s part of a series, but I hope I can enjoy it anyway! Do you think it’s possible?

      1. Yes, I think they can all be read as standalones really. I just checked my review – my memory’s terrible – and I commented that this one would work fine on its own. Hope you enjoy it! 🙂

  5. So many wonderful books! Have you read Homegoing yet or is it on the October TBR? I have just requested Dark Matter after reading that it was one of your favourites. I also have Safe with Me which I hope that will be a great read. I didn’t get Before The Fall and I yet to get feedback on The Secret(sob, sob). I look forward to reading your reviews though. Enjoy all your books this month. Happy reading:-)

    1. It’s for later, the review needs to be published in Janyary (that’s what the publishers said), so I’ll read it in December… but I might read it before, it looks sooo goood *___* Safe With Me looked so great with that blurb! Before The Fall I requested it in August! And I got it last week, I almost didn’t want to read it anymore hahaha Ohhh, I hope they accept you on The Secret! I have like 3 pending ones…. arghhh! Happy reading to you too D :*

  6. Holy shite! And I thought my TBR was long :’). What did you mean with publishers up there btw? Did they send you any physical copies? I still need to figure out how to get some decent ones of those sent over here :3

  7. You’ve had a wonderful reading month! 🙂 I can’t wait to start Behind Closed Door and I really need to get Dark Matter! I’m so relieved to see I’m not the only one who hasn’t started Marsons’ books yet, haha! I just can’t wait to read your reviews for October books! Safe With Me, Tell Me No Lies and Valentina are on my Kindle, I hope we both enjoy them 😀

    1. Because I went crazy with requests… but I’ve promised myself that come December I will read less books and find time to write more 😄 Ohhh, can’t wait to know what you think of them! I’m especially excited for Tell Me No Lies!

  8. Wow! You read a lot of books each month! I wish I could get so many in. I also loved Behind Closed Doors. I listened to it on Audible and the reader was fantastic. Cruel Beautiful World fell a little flat for me.

    1. Haha I forced myself to read all those because they were from publishers! I was just reading your review for BCD and other stuff… I think we have pretty similar tastes! I love how you give similar recs after every review ^^

  9. I’m completely in awe of how much you manage to read and review each month! I just finished Ashes of Fiery Weather this morning and really enjoyed it. I think you’ll like it too! I’ve just started Cruel Beautiful World, which I’ve been *SO* excited to get stuck into since reading your review and I’m loving it so far!!
