The Book Courtship Tag

Phase 1 – Initial Attraction: A book that you bought because of the cover?
Not only because of that, but I do love A Gilded Grave‘s cover. And the book too, it’s lovely.

Phase 2 – First Impressions: A book that you got because of the summary?
My Sister’s GraveAnd I must say it didn’t disappoint. Still one of my favorites.

Phase 3 – Sweet Talk: A book with great writing?
The Light Between the Oceans.
So beautiful.

Phase 4 – First Date: A first book of a series which made you want to pick up the rest of the series?
The Rosary Girls
. I still haven’t read the sequels, but I loved the plot and the characters sooooo much.

Phase 5 – Late Night Phone Calls: A book that kept you up all night?
Not exactly all night, but I read Someone is Watching  one day at the beach. In my defense, the water was quite cold and I spent 6 hours there. And well, the book was extremely addictive.

Phase 6 – Always on my mind: A book you could not stop thinking about?
11/22/63
Wonderful. It had EVERYTHING.

Phase 7 – Getting Physical: A book which you love the way it feels?
I have some books from this collection and they all look amazing.

Phase 8 – Meeting the parents: A book which you would recomend to your family and friends?
I always recommend Gillian Flynn’s books. Especially Sharp Objects. No wonder most people think I’m creepy.

Phase 9 – Thinking about the future: A book or series you know you will re read many times in the future?
I could read Gods in Alabama over and over again. It’s perfect.

Phase 10 – Share the love: Who do you tag?
Anyone who wants to do it 😉

In a past life I was probably a tortured police detective with a dark and traumatic past. Right now, however, I'm just a twenty-something bookworm who loves to listen to old songs and watch American movies from the nineties. I enjoy reading mystery and crime, southern coming of age stories and historical fiction set in the last century.
